"At the deepest level, the creative process and the healing process arise from a single source."

Play’s The Thing! is a non-profit corporation organized for exclusively charitable, scientific, religious, and educational purpose within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
The goal of this organization is to optimize the quality of life for children suffering from chronic or life-threatening medical conditions. This group has endured a childhood fraught with physical, emotional and psychological pain, accompanied by an unremitting fear of an uncertain future.
Play’s The Thing! provides a fun and safe environment where these young people, together with a group of their healthy peers enjoy exploring the extraordinary works of William Shakespeare through play, improvisation, group readings, and performance.
Play’s The Thing! believes that through these activities each participant has the opportunity to form lasting friendships, gain insight into the commonality that exists among all young people, healthy or otherwise, and perhaps discover again the playful child within us all.
